FAQs

What is the difference between a Sport Psychologist and a Mental Performance Consultant?

A sport psychologist, therapist, counselor, or other clinical mental health professional is licensed to diagnose and treat mental illnesses (i.e., depression, anxiety, eating disorders, sleep disorders, etc.). Mental performance consultants are not required to obtain state licensure and primarily focus on performance enhancement. If you are struggling with mental health issues, please consult with a licensed mental health professional.
